Day-Old Coturnix Quail Chicks for Sale in Maine

If you’re ready to raise quail from day one, these are your birds. Fresh out of the incubator, strong, healthy, and ready to take on the world. I hatch on a rolling schedule through most of the year and offer local pickups by appointment, typically within a day of hatch.

All chicks are straight run (unsexed) and available first-come, first-served unless you’ve already reserved ahead. If you want the best selection, it’s worth getting on the waitlist early.

2026 Collections

Every quail I raise comes from solid, proven lines. Some collections breed true, others offer more variety, but all are selected for health, size, and calm temperament.

• Andalusian Collection: Silver-gray feathers; about half of the offspring show Andalusian coloring and the rest display their base color.
• Sparkly Pansy Pearl Collection: A mix of fawn, Fee, and sparkly genes producing soft white plumage with striking dark barring. Calm, beautiful, and breed true.
• Calico Collection: A diverse mix of Calico genetics with warm, mottled coloring and dependable egg production.
• True Black Collection: Sleek, glossy birds bred for size and temperament. Breed true and make an excellent foundation for any covey.
• Celadon Collection: A mix of colors and patterns, all homozygous for the Celadon gene that produces beautiful pale blue eggs.
• Splash Collection: A rare Australian-origin gene producing mostly white birds with colorful splashes across their backs. Each bird is one of a kind, with a sweet, gentle temperament.

From March through June, I usually offer mixed hatches to keep up with the spring rush. After June, you can request chicks from specific collections, depending on availability.

Ordering & Pickup

Minimum Order: 6 chicks
Large Orders: 10% non-refundable deposit required for orders of 30 or more chicks
Pickup Window: Within 5 days of hatch
Care Fee: $1 per chick per week after day 5

Pickup Location: All pickups are by appointment at my farm just off Route 302 on the Fryeburg/Bridgton line. I can also meet in Bridgton, Fryeburg, Sebago, Windham, or nearby towns if that’s easier.

Payment Accepted: Cash, Venmo, or CashApp

Once your chicks are ready, I’ll contact you 24–48 hours before your appointment to confirm pickup details.
If you can’t make your pickup, just let me know. Missed appointments without notice forfeit the deposit.

Health & Care

All chicks are inspected before pickup to ensure they appear healthy and active. If any are DOA, they must be reported within 24 hours for replacement. There are no refunds or replacements after 24 hours, as care becomes the buyer’s responsibility.
