Day-Old Coturnix Quail Chicks for Sale at Forget-Me-Not Quail Farm

If you’re ready to start your quail journey from day one, these chicks are the real deal—fresh out of the incubator, strong, healthy, and full of potential. I hatch several times a week during the season and offer local pickups by appointment, typically within a day of hatch.

Chicks are sold as straight run (unsexed), and availability is first-come, first-served unless you’ve reserved ahead of time.

  • Hatch Day – 5 Days Old: $4 each
  • 6–12 Days Old: $5 each
  • 13–19 Days Old: $6 each

From March through June, we generally only offer mixed lots to keep up with high demand and keep things running smoothly during peak season. After June, you’re welcome to request chicks from specific color lines, and I can usually accommodate those requests as availability allows.

I hatch on a rolling schedule, and chicks are ready for pickup shortly after hatch. Below is the current schedule, listed in order by estimated hatch date. I update this list weekly (usually on Fridays). If you don’t see what you’re looking for, just ask!

Pansy Pearl Fee

This line does not breed true (though we’re working on it for 2026!). You’ll receive an assortment of Pansy Fee, Pearl Fee, Pansy Pearl Fee, and some with Sparkly.

Black

This line breeds true and produces consistent black plumage—ideal for anyone wanting reliable coloration and genetics.

Andalusian

Unique gray color with varied patterning. This line does not breed true—expect about 50% Andalusian and 50% base color in future offspring. All chicks sold display the signature gray coloring and carry the Andalusian gene.

Calico Fee

Homozygous and therefore breed true.

Mixed Celadons

Various colors, all homozygous for the blue-egg Celadon gene. A great option for anyone looking to establish a line of consistent blue egg layers.

Mixed Jumbos

A colorful mix of birds that meet or exceed the Jumbo weight standard (10 oz at 10 weeks)—great dual-purpose birds for both meat and egg production.

Ordering & Pickup Info

Minimum Order:

  • 6 chicks
  • For large orders (30+ chicks), a $30 deposit is required
  • Pickup must be made within 5 days of hatch
  • After 5 days, a care fee of $1 per chick per week applies

Pickup Location: All pickups are by appointment and take place at our farm, just off Route 302 on the Bridgton/Fryeburg line. If needed, we can also arrange to meet in Bridgton, Fryeburg, Sebago, Windham, or nearby towns to make things easier for you.

Payment Accepted: Cash, Venmo, or CashApp

Scheduling: Once your chicks are ready, we’ll contact you 24–48 hours before your scheduled pickup to confirm. Missed appointments without notice may result in cancellation and forfeited deposit.

Health Guarantee & Replacement Policy

All chicks are inspected before pickup. If any are DOA, they must be reported within 24 hours to qualify for a replacement. There are no refunds or replacements after pickup, as care becomes the buyer’s responsibility at that point.
