Live Coturnix Quail for Sale in Maine

Looking to start your own covey or grow the one you’ve got? I raise healthy, hardy Coturnix quail here on my Maine homestead. Birds I’m proud to keep myself (and often do until they head your way). Whether you’re raising for eggs, meat, or future breeding stock, I can help you find the right fit.

We hatch on a rolling schedule throughout the season and offer quail at multiple life stages, from day-old chicks to mature laying hens. All pickups are by appointment, and I’ll walk you through what you need to know so you leave ready to care for your new birds.

Our 2026 Lines & Collections

Every bird I raise comes from strong, reliable lines. Some lines breed true, others are more diverse, but all are selected for health, size, and calm temperament.

  • Andalusian: Silver-gray feathers with about 50% of offspring showing the Andalusian coloring and the rest displaying their base color.
  • Sparkly Pansy Pearl: A mix of fawn, Fee, and sparkly genes creating soft white plumage with striking dark barring. Calm, beautiful, and breed true.
  • Calico Collection: A blend of Calico genetics with warm, mottled coloring and reliable egg production.
  • True Black: Sleek, glossy birds bred for size and temperament. Breed true and make an excellent foundation for any covey.
  • Celadon Collection: A mix of colors and patterns, all homozygous for the Celadon gene that produces beautiful pale blue eggs.
  • Splash Collection: A rare Australian gene producing mostly white birds with splashes of color across the back. Each one is unique with a sweet, gentle disposition.

After June, you can request specific color lines when you order, based on what’s hatching at the time. In spring, we sell chicks as mixed lines so hatches keep running on schedule.

Hatch Schedule & Availability

I set eggs every week and usually have several hatches going during peak season. Chicks are ready for pickup within 24 hours of hatching, and I recommend picking them up within the first five days for the best selection and price.
